National PUBG League Announces 2019 Schedule for North America

​The National PLAYERUNKNONW’S BATTLEGROUNDS League revealed its 2019 schedule for North America on Thursday. Its format is split into three phases, where 16 teams will compete for a spot at the global championship in November.

​​The NPL announced its schedule for the North America, where 16 ​PUBG teams will compete in. There will be three phases in the year, which will feature four different events per phase.

At the highest level, the NPL, the top 16 professional PUBG teams will compete against each other. NPL Contenders will be a league for upcoming PUBG teams looking to make it into the NPL. The NPL Royale will pit all NPL teams and NPL Contenders teams against each other in a three-day weekend event. The last event is the NPL Relegation, where the bottom six teams in the NPL and top 10 teams in NPL Contenders will compete. “The events will take place two weeks after each NPL phase and will determine placements in the next phase,” it said

Phase 1 of the NPL begins Feb. 1 with matches starting Friday at 8 p.m. ET and Saturday at 5 p.m. ET. It will be held for five weeks and conclude in March. Phase 2 will start May 3 and Phase 3 will start Sep. 6 — with all phases featuring the same scheduled match times and dates

NPL Contenders will start Feb. 5 for Phase 1 and be held on Tuesdays for four weeks of competitions. NPL Royale Phase 1 will take place Feb. 22-24, Phase 2 on May 24-26, and Phase 3 on Sept. 27-29.

“Finally, NPL Relegation Phase 1 will take place on March 22-24, Phase 2 on June 21-23 and Phase 3 from Oct. 25-27,” the news release said.

The 16 PUBG teams competing in the NPL are Adapt, Cloud9, eUnited, Ghost Gaming, Lazarus Esports, Noble Esports, Oxymoron, Shoot to Kill, Simplicity, Smokin Aces, Spacestation Gaming, Team Envy, Tempo Storm, Vicious Gaming, Why Tempt Fate and Wildcard Gaming.

The Global Championship for the NPL will be held in November, where the best professional PUBG teams across the world will compete.
